Health and Safety.

When filming, we had to make sure the health and safety of the actors, filmer's and the equipment was high priority.
We had to make sure that the clips on the tripod were all fastened tightly and level with one another, and then place it in a safe place, so that the camera would be sturdy and safe. Tape down any cables to the camera or extra lights being used. If using lights; red lights or blonde's, 800 or 1000 watt lights, to not touch the head as they can get extremely hot, and to use gloves when dealing with them.
Also, we had to make sure there was always at least 3 people filming, so that if some one got injured etc, one person could stay with them, and the other could go and get help.
When filming in doors, we had to make sure that we knew where all fire exits were and the emergency procedures of that location were, e.g. when the nearest medical aid was.
When filming off sight, at night or in the early morning, we had to make sure we were aware of additional dangers; fewer passers by if help was needed, the dark, the use of weapons in public, and a main point that affected us, the weather. In our case, when filming outside, the path was covered in ice and snow, so we made sure our actor had sensible footwear.
And finally, to not have any food or drink around the equipment or while filming.

Section 3 - Ideas and classification of film

Title of film
We decided to call our film 'Death Term', we decided to choose this, as from our research it showed people thought short names were more effective as they didn't distract from the film itself.
We chose the actual name as it shows that its in school time, from the 'term' bit and the 'death' bit relates to the murders.

Target Audience
Our target audience is for ages 15 - 30, as our research showed this is the main age who watch and thrillers often. We also did this age, as a large proportion of this age group are currently in or have recently been in education so can partly relate with the storyline; setting etc.
We would expect younger that 15 to view the film as well, as people under the classification age often enjoy watching films, even if they are not allowed to watch it due to classification, and they can also relate to this film.

Classification of film

We decided to give our film a certificate rating on 15. We researched different ratings by viewing the http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ website. We looked at descriptions of films rated between 12 to 18.
We thought, although some 12 rated films contained mild gore etc, our had a more psychological effect so it should be rated higher than this. We also looked at rating 18, and decided this was too high as we didn't plan to have extremely graphic scenes. So, we decided to rate it 15, as it contains some psychological aspects, and some graphic/gore scenes.
